Hydro-what?

Last Wednesday, fifth grade took a field visit to the Power Vista. While there, we were able to investigate the source of power right from our own backyard! Miss Kathy took us on a tour of the facility and we learned a lot of new and exciting things! Do you know how an ager crane works? How long did it take to build the power facility? Ask one of our fifth graders! After the tour, we got to partake in some neat activities hands on! The power bike was a huge hit for the children. We even got to see the demonstration of the flow of electricity to seven of our neighboring states. To finish up the tour, the groups were able to watch a Bill Nye the Science Guy video and learn about how static electricity occurs! It sure was a hair raising experience!
